Company Information - Conport Structures UK
Conport Structures Limited was founded in 1965 by Peregrine
Churchill. He designed the "Twynham" and "Romney"
buildings for military purposes and has devoted much of his life to
designing pre-engineered buildings of all shapes and sizes.
The emphasis has always been on simple, easy to transport and assemble,
economical structures. In particular Conport has pioneered the use of
"stressed skin" designs in collaboration with Professor Mike
Davies at Manchester University.
Our head office is in Sloane Square, London (where visitors are always
welcome). Manufacturing takes place in the Midlands and all materials
are to relevant British Standards.
Conport buildings have been erected in over 40
countries throughout the world. They are designed for transport
in 20' containers and for erection using unskilled labour without special
equipment. Foundation requirements are minimal, and most Conport buildings
can be erected on firm level bare ground.
Due to the great distances involved in many of our projects we place
great emphasis on product quality and we aim to get everything right
first time. Our quality administration systems have been assessed
and approved to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 standard.
Our Flospan system has LANTAC
system approval and we are applying for LANTAC system approval for the
